Set up every location you ship from, so invoices show the right address and GSTIN and e-way bill distance is correct.

Why you need them

A sales invoice must show where the goods are dispatched from. If you ship from a factory and an office, or from several godowns, each one becomes a dispatch address that you pick on the invoice. The PIN code here is also the start point for e-way bill distance.

Open it

Go to Admin & Security → Dispatch Address. Press Alt+D on this screen to start a new location.

Add a location

  1. Address Label / Title: a name you will recognise on the invoice screen, for example Factory - Industrial Area or Central Warehouse.
  2. Dispatch Entity Name (if different): leave blank to print the company name.
  3. Address lines, City / Location, PIN Code and State Code (GST).
  4. Tick Set as Default Dispatch Address for the location most invoices use.
  5. Click Save Address.

Manage locations

The Locations Directory lists every label with its address, PIN and status. Edit or remove a location from here, and change which one is the default.

On the invoice

The default location is pre-selected under Dispatch From on every new sales invoice; change it from the drop-down when goods leave from elsewhere. The address, state and company GSTIN fill in from the location you choose.

The Atulya Intelligence banner on this screen checks that PIN codes and state codes agree. A mismatch gives wrong e-way bill distances and can trigger the wrong tax type.
