Updating the vehicle (Part B)
When goods move to a new vehicle (breakdown or transshipment), update Part B before the goods move in the new vehicle. This can be done many times, by the generator or the assigned transporter. Validity does not restart.
Transporter ID
- Registered transporters use their GSTIN.
- Unregistered transporters enrol on the EWB portal with ENR-03 and get a 15-character TRANSIN.
- The consignor enters the transporter ID in Part A; the transporter then updates Part B.
- A transporter can hand over to another transporter by changing the transporter ID.
Multi-vehicle movement
Use this when one EWB's goods are split into several vehicles from a point (e.g. a large truck to smaller trucks).
- Choose Multi-vehicle → Initiate and enter the change point, reason and total quantity.
- Add each vehicle with its quantity. The total can't exceed the EWB quantity.
- Each vehicle carries a copy of the EWB and its vehicle details.
