Open it

Press Alt+R on the Gateway, or go to Masters Setup → Recurring Voucher.

Create a schedule

  1. Voucher Type: Payment, Receipt, Journal or Contra.
  2. Debit Ledger (Dr) and Credit Ledger (Cr). For office rent paid from ICICI: Dr Rent, Cr ICICI BANK.
  3. Amount (₹).
  4. Frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly.
  5. Start Date, and an End Date if it should stop on its own. Leave End Date blank to run until you remove it.
  6. Add a Narration or click Auto-Write.
  7. Click Schedule Task.

Manage schedules

Active Schedules lists each task with its type, debit / credit particulars, amount, frequency, Next Run and status. The Atulya Intelligence banner shows that the scheduler is active.

Good uses

Rent, loan EMIs, monthly retainers, insurance premiums, standing instructions from the bank, and month-end provisions you book for the same amount every time.

After each run date, check the Day Book (Alt+K) to see the posted entry. If the real amount changed (for example a rent increase), edit the schedule rather than correcting each voucher.
